Background

The Asian CSR Awards Program recognizes and honors Asian companies for embodying the principles of corporate responsibility in their business philosophy and operations. Awardees are companies that continuously innovate and implement sustainable approaches towards becoming socially responsible.

Awardees should demonstrate the company's leadership, sincerity and on-going commitment in incorporating ethical values, compliance with legal requirements, respect for individuals, involvement in communities and protection of the environment into the way they do business. The four focus areas are as follows:

  • Environment and Value Chain Management
  • Governance and Society
  • Labor and Employee Engagement
  • Product Responsibility and Consumer Rights

Now on its 10th year, the Asian CSR Awards program is presented by the Ramon V. del Rosario, Sr. Center for Corporate Social Responsibility, a research and program center within the Asian Institute of Management (AIM). It is the Center’s belief that CSR can be truly sustainable only when it is integrated into the company’s business model and is regarded as fundamental to strategy. These awards seek to identify and honor companies as well as to provide role models of best practices for other companies.
