Businesses can effect deeper, more strategic results in the development of disadvantaged communities, and create benefits for its own corporate goals at the same time. Accenture is a global champion of the Secured Livelihoods goal of VSO, seconding its employees as international volunteers to organizations that need business skills infusion. More than a manifestation of its CSR, research proves that the scheme is an effective HR development intervention for Accenture.
