As CSR is being mainstreamed into the domain of business, it is of paramount importance that the effectiveness of CSR strategies and actioins are duly measured. Currently, the trend is on self drum-beating through publication of CSR Reports/Reviews though in several cases there have been tangible and visible marks of societal benefits. However, the lack of any benchmarking tool will be over ridden with the introduction of ISO 26000 which will aid the process of auditing social responsibility actions of any organization.
