Shelly leads Intel’s corporate responsibility strategy, driving strategic programs that unlock the potential that science and technology has to improve people’s lives. From transforming education to promoting environmental sustainability, Shelly’s organization, in more than 35 countries, works to forge strategic alliances with industry, the public sector, and civil society to create positive, sustainable change. 

Shelly also serves as President of the Intel Foundation, the primary philanthropic arm of Intel Corporation. The Intel Foundation is focused on programs that advance education and improve communities worldwide by providing funding for national and local grants helping to fuel innovation in classrooms, empower women and underserved youth, and enable Intel employees to serve the needs of their communities.

Shelly also applies her passion for improving education and supporting local communities through her board service, including World Economic Forum Global Education Initiative, the Women’s Network for a Sustainable Future, the Arizona Business & Education Coalition, and the Assessment and Teaching of 21st Century Skills Executive Board. She has previously served as a board member for the Valley of the Sun United Way, the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation, and the KAET Public Television Community Advisory Board.

Before joining Intel, Shelly served as public affairs director for the Clerk of the Superior Court in Maricopa County, Arizona from 1990 to 1996.  Shelly is a graduate of Arizona State University’s College of Public Programs with a degree in Communication and received a Certificate in Global Management from the Global Leadership Program at Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management.
