
GTZ is German Technical Cooperation, officially known as Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH, is a government-owned enterprise operating worldwide to support Germany's development-policy objectives. Our mission is to positively shape the political, economic, ecological and social development of partner countries. GTZ promotes complex reforms and change processes that improve people's immediate living conditions as well as their long-term prospects. Many of its 12,000 staff deployed in more than 120 countries is working under difficult conditions, including conflict and disaster areas. About 1,500 are based at the Head Office in Eschborn near Frankfurt am Main and at various locations within Germany. GTZ maintains its own offices in 92 countries.
